Tony Bennett, nome d'arte di Anthony Dominick Benedetto, che poteva vantare il titolo onorifico di cantante preferito da Frank Sinatra, ha sempre avuto una vera passione per il jazz, ed è stato forse il primo cantante bianco di estrazione pop (che è il termine americano per musica leggera) a incidere con l'orchestra di Count Basie nel 1958. Nel corso della sua carriera Bennet ha cantato tra l'altro anche con Duke Ellington, Woody Herman e Bill Evans. Questa compilation è un ottima retrospettiva esauriente di una lunga carriera piena di successi.
